As the sands of time took away our beloved 8 track tapes, so will be the halogen lights. Take a moment and grieve, its ok. Replacing our beloved halogen lights will be LED.

LED lights last longer, do not overheat and can be used for hours at a time. Gone are the days of breakers tripping, LED's use much less power so the days of plugging in your sound system and a couple of lights and popping the breaker are gone!!

Chauvet 4Play CLOk, every good has a bad ~ you caught me. Just like the great invention of the cassette, LED brings a few quirks too.

LED are not as bright as the halogen lights, but as with every upgrade, more enhancements will arrive. LED's come in different sizes, which to some can be confusing. You have 1/4 watt, 10mm, 1 watt, 3 watt and some effects with 1/4watt to 60 watt. Numbers, just numbers, I know. Take the time to look at some of the lights and hey, just for fun, notice the wattage on them. That will give you some idea of how to decide on which wattage is best for you. And people, lets get real, more power isnt always the best way to go.

Look for more posts about certain lights and more information coming to a blog near you on LED 101!
