Want to talk here about Uplighting but first I want to try to paint a picture so you might better understand. Remember when you were a kid and you had a little lamp next to the bed or on the dresser. Had a 25 watt lamp and it gave you enough light to see in the room and do what you needed. Was little hard to read a book with but you could get around. Now lets go to the living room. The lamp next to the couch has a 100 watt lamp. Big difference then in the bedroom. Now put those lights side by side. Look at the pattern going up the wall and on the ceiling the spot pattern.

Do you have that pictured in your mind now? That's the same thing with 1/4 watt LED and 1 watt LED. Night and day difference. 1/4 watt can give you a nice softer color. Does not pack a big punch like a 1 watt but can work. Your not going to get the throw out of it but it will work. 1 watt packs the punch. Colors will be more bold and you will get a very good throw. So hopefully everyone can get a picture of what the size of an LED can do.

Now let's talk about LED Uplighting. Most that have been in the business have used par 38, par 56 and par 64 cans. They did what you needed them to do but.....they sucked the power like nobody's business. They got very very hot. You had to watch where you put them so no one got burnt or you didn't catch something on fire. You had to have multiple outlets and breakers just to use a handful. Then to try and give her that color she wants. You had to get a gel sheet for each can. Now lets make life a little easier, LED!

You can link multiple lights together and run on one outlet and one breaker. No heat, no lamp to change and no gel sheets. You are able with most lights today to change the color manually or with a controller. There are simple controllers today that you push a button and it goes right to the color or a control board that you can create scenes and programs. (That's another story)

Most of the lights have adjustments on the back. You are able to link the lights and do a master slave. Just adjust the first light to the color you want and the rest will follow. Also now the new thing is wireless. Several makers are coming out with a line that work from a wireless remote. No need to link with DMX cable.

Today all the makers such as Chauvet, American DJ, MBT Lighting and so on all have the LED products now with new products coming out all the time. Most are getting rid of all the halogen fixtures. Even the lamps are starting to disappear so LED is the way to go.

You can look on the site and see you have choices of LED's in cans and strips. Most of this will boil down to your budget to be honest. I know that in these times money is tight for everyone. Many start out with buying a few at a time and add a few more as the extra money comes in. Also have to say we have many people that have done this and have made their money back over and over. It is an investment in your business and you do have to spend some to get some.

We would happy to speak with you and help guide you along in this new wonderful age of LED. Please give us a call 727-289-2241 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
