Everyone knows to enhance your effect lighting you need to have fog to show off those beams, otherwise you only see the beam on the floor. What some never think about is smoke alarms. If you are planning on maybe a wedding reception in a private room at a hotel, you better be asking if they have smoke alarms. I you want to use fog you really should be asking everywhere you are hosting an event. Some places will tell you not to use fog and some might say it will be ok.
A lot of you probably already know this but for those who don't, here you go. A duty cycle is becoming an old school term. Today with LED lights it is not a need. Duty cycle was and is needed for DJ lights that use halogen lamps. Most halogen fixtures are recommended 15 minutes on and 15 minutes off. The higher end units like scanners and moving yokes with halogen lamps normally have high output cooling fans and can run all night. The basic fixtures like a Mushroom or Double Derby halogen unit has the duty cycle.
We saw this "What is DMX on DJ Lighting" someone used as a search question on one of the major search engines which brought them to our site. We thought is was very interesting and wondered how many others don't really know? So we will try to touch base a little here and hopefully others will get a better understanding.
Not all lighting fixtures are DMX. If it is it will say so somewhere in the name or description of the item. Most of the lights today with the new LED's are being made DMX. The older halogen lamp fixture such as Mushroom or Double Derby lights were play and play with sound activation.
The Chauvet Colordash Batten for the past 3 years this has been our number one selling light. It has 24 - 1w LED's. 8 red, 8 blue and 8 green. Has manual control on the back or you can use a DMX controller. Link them and do a master slave. That means you set the first light and the rest will follow. For event planners this is a must have light.
We have been selling foam fluid and foam machines for many years now. At one time we made our own foam machines to sale. We stopped that because it was just to much getting parts and so on. The foam fluid we still make ourselves.
As the sands of time took away our beloved 8 track tapes, so will be the halogen lights. Take a moment and grieve, its ok. Replacing our beloved halogen lights will be LED.
LED lights last longer, do not overheat and can be used for hours at a time. Gone are the days of breakers tripping, LED's use much less power so the days of plugging in your sound system and a couple of lights and popping the breaker are gone!!

Chauvet has done it yet again! Here is an all in one pack and go setup in minutes for the band on the run. It’s a complete, portable tri-color LED wash lighting solution.
Building on the success of the 4BAR, the 4BAR Tri adds high power tri-color LEDs for a more intense and uniform color output. Tri-color LEDs make the light perfect for front lighting as they nearly eliminate multi-colored shadows. Like the original, this unit is ready to go with a tripod, footswitch and carry bags.
